I’ve put together my favorite small gifts for women, all things I’ve either tried myself or gifted with confidence. These are real-girl gifts, not “what magazines tell you to buy” gifts.

What makes a good stocking stuffer

The best stocking stuffers are small, thoughtful, and feel like a treat rather than an obligation. They should make the recipient smile, not stress them out about reciprocation. Price point usually $5-$25 each. I aim for a mix of “fun thing” + “useful thing” + “thing she’d never buy for herself.”

• Quality hair ties. Sounds boring, isn’t. Sephora-tier hair ties feel like upgrading a small daily thing.
• A small but excellent notebook. Leuchtturm pocket, Moleskine cahier. Functional, gorgeous, used daily.

For the cozy lover

• A really good candle. Diptyque rollerball-size, or any small artisan brand. Lasts months, feels like a luxury every time it’s lit.
• Cozy socks. Bombas, Smartwool. Forever-useful, never not appreciated.
• A herbal tea sampler. Tea Forte or Bellocq. Beautiful packaging, drinks every cold morning.

For the fun one

• A scratch-off map or experience gift. A small wrapper that promises something to look forward to.
