Make Beauty is a makeup brand that’s all about self-expression. Their makeup is build-able for every type of girl – you can layer and build for more pigmentation. Whether you prefer a subtle, everyday look or a straight-out-of-a-magazine flawless look, Make has what you need. Plus, it is paraben-free and never tested on animals. But what speaks to me the most about Make is their charitable hearts. They donate 10% of all sales to the We See Beauty Foundation, supporting women-led, worker-owned cooperative businesses across the Americas. I am all about supporting charities, volunteering your time, etc.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to sample of the products. I received their Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster and the Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy. I love how itty bitty the samples are, they’re perfect for traveling (have you seen my favorite Travel Size Makeup Items yet?).
Both retail for $25 on Make’s website. Personally, I like the lipstick more. The shadow doesn’t show up on my lids much, but it does keep my lids matte. I tend to get oily as the day goes on, but I noticed my lids are less oily with the matte eye shadow on. The lipstick is great – color is very natural and the formula is very moisturizing.
