OOTD — Lilac Florals

One of my closest friends is getting married soon. Her bridal shower was just last weekend and I was so excited to be a part of that special day. I wanted to wear something special to her surprise shower – the theme was ‘Afternoon Tea.’ I went shopping with my mother in law because she finds the best clothes at the best prices. We don’t share the same taste in stores or in clothing, but she has a way to finding gems in unexpected areas. I wouldn’t have found this dress without her!

I’m in love with this dress. I don’t own anything lilac colored and this looks extremely fun and special. I found this dress in the most unexpected place…..Kohl’s! It’s a Jennifer Lopez dress and it was just hanging out in the women’s dresses area when it caught my eye. When I picked it up and tried it on, I knew this was the dress. The fit wasn’t that perfect. Length worked out well, but the width of the dress was too wide, even as a 0. Luckily, I know how to sew and was able to easily adjust the sides.
