My Search for the Perfect Fragrance

I’ve been looking for my signature scent for a while. I haven’t found one that I love and can wear all year round. I have a few seasonal fragrances, but after wearing them for a few months, I get bored and move on. I found out about Fragrance Outlet and decided to give my fragrance search another shot.

I love the wide variety of options they have on their site. Plus, they were having a 40% off summer sale on almost all of the fragrances!! I had to take a look.

I was about to browse through the best sellers when I saw that they had minis! How cute! A lot of the sets were of 4-5 mini fragrances – very cute, but wasn’t worth the money. You get less product (ounce wise) and they’re more expensive than just buying a regular size of one fragrance. After a couple of minutes of “awwww”ing at the minis, I decided to check out the Best Sellers.

I’ve heard of a lot of these fragrances, especially D&G’s Light Blue. A lot of my friends own that scent and are in love with it. I personally like it, but I’m not in love with it. The item that stuck out to me was the 2nd best seller: Bamboo by Frank Olivier. I haven’t heard of him and I was intrigued by the name.

I read through the top, middle and base notes and found a few familiar scents. I particularly love rose, black currant and lily. I love the floral notes, but need something more earthy, like cedar and musk to prevent the fragrance from smelling too sweet. I’m not a fan of very sugary fragrances like Viktor & Rolf’s Bon Bon. I like a balance, which is what this perfume is! I went ahead and bought the Bamboo scent.

I was surprised by how quick my fragrance arrived. It only took 4 days from ordering to arrival at my doorstep. I immediately ripped open the box, which had a fun little bow on it., and found that my order came with 4 fragrance samples and $5 fragrance bucks that I can use in stores.
What do you think of Fragrance Outlet? What perfume or cologne would you buy from the site?
